Q6: I am an intercessor / a part of an intercessory group. How can I be part of building the House of Prayer?

  1. You are encouraged to come and engage with us in prayers as a Body of Christ during the Apostolic Intercessory Worship sessions. See the monthly schedule here. Also, you are welcome to come forward to pray at the microphone during the intercessory sessions.
  2. If you have a group of intercessors/worshippers who can anchor a weekly slot write to us to see how we can partner to establish the House of Prayer.
  3. If your group is not able to take on your own slot but are committed to coming regularly on a weekly basis write to us to see how we can partner you and your ministry.

More information can be found here.

Q7: We are a group of intercessors who meet regularly to pray, how can we be part of this?
See answer to Question 6.

Q8: How can we as a church/ministry partner you?
See answer to Question 6.

Q9: Do I have to audition to be part of the worship team or to partner you?
Yes. See answer to Question 3.

Q10: Do you have full time/part time staff? Are staff paid?
Yes we do have both full time and part time staff. All staff are called Intercessory Missionaries. We are not paid a salary but like Missionaries we are encouraged to seek financial partners who will support us in the work we do. Amount of monies raised will be dependent on the individual’s needs (e.g. a parent will have a higher financial burden compared to a single living with their parents) and must be discussed and agreed upon by the director of the ministry. The ministry will provide a letter on your involvement with the House of Prayer. All monies received will be written to “One Thing” with the name of the Intercessory Missionary behind. This is to ensure accountability and that there is no abuse in the raising of funds.

Q11: If I am on staff can I work and earn my keep?
There are cases where part-time/full-time staff hold on to part time jobs. This happens when monies raised fall short of sum needed. Staff can work as long as the work does not interfere with the assigned duties.

Do note that not all who are part of the ministry are part time/full time staff. A majority of our members hold full or part time jobs while serving. These do not raise funds.

For more information on the requirements of a full-time staff, please click here.

Q12: Do I have to be a staff to be involved?
No, you can hold your existing job and be part of our ministry.

Q13: Can I still serve in my church if I join One Thing Ministries?
Yes, of course. We will advise you to seek the blessings of your pastor before your part-time/full-time involvement with us.

Q14: If I don’t play any musical instrument proficiently, how can I be a part of building the House of Prayer?
You are encouraged to come and engage with us in prayers as a Body of Christ during the sessions. Also, you are welcome to come forward to pray at the microphone during the intercessory sessions.

Q15: I have other commitments but hope to build the House of Prayer when I can. How do I go about doing it?
You are encouraged to come and engage with us in prayers as a Body of Christ during the sessions. Also, you are welcome to come forward to pray at the microphone during the intercessory sessions.
